I have just wired the funds for our XOs!! We still can’t believe that we raised the sum necessary, and that family, friends, and fellow Episcopalians have been so generous and supportive. We have already begun our search for funds for next year. I spoke recently at our Diocesan Council in San Marcos, Texas, giving a short presentation about The Owen Project.The respose was quite enthusiastic, and we generated some interest in the project and discovered some possible sources of revenue. At first we wondered if anyone, other than those who knew and loved Owen, would be inspired by our effort to honor his memory. Now I realize that the visions of OLPC and the St. Andrew’s mission effort are quite compelling in their own right. My class has just come in to the room, so I’ll end here with profound thanks to all of you who helped to make this possible.
